2° Day Catania and its ruins
Breakfast at hotel and guided tour of Catania. Walk along the town centre to visit “Piazza Duomo”, “la Pescheria” (“the fish market), the Benedectine Monastery, Via Etnea, Villa Bellini, Piazza Stesicoro and its Roman Amphitheatre. Possibility to take a visit of Palazzo Biscari.
Lunch and tasting of typical local food (arancini,cannoli siciliani etc).
In the afternoon we will visit the Castello Ursino and the “Bottega del Puparo” where the participants can admire the construction of “pupi siciliani” , typical Sicilian puppets used for plays with a great historical and cultural value. Free time.
Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
3° Day: Caltagirone – Militello di Val di Catania
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Caltagirone, "Pottery town" par excellence. Pottery is a ubiquitous decorative element within the municipality.You can find it in palaces, squares, monuments and especially in the wonderful "Staircase of Santa Maria del Monte" with its 142 steps. They are decorated with beautiful polychrome majolica tiles. Walk through the streets of the city to admire many beautiful monuments,both sacred (St Peter's Church ,the Church of St. Francis of Assisi) and old buildings (Palazzo Sant'Elia and the Civic Museum).
After the lunch, we will start a visit of Militello in Val di Catania, a charming baroque town ,rich in monuments to be admired like the Benedictine Monastery and the Church of Santa Maria Vetere. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
4 Day: Siracusa - Noto
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Siracusa, one of the most important cities of the Magna Grecia. Visit of the archaeological Park of Neapolis that hosts the majority of classic monuments of the Greek Syracuse such as the Ara of Ierone. the Greek Theatre, one of the biggest in the world, and Dionisio’s ear, an artificial cave carved in the limestone. Then, we will reach Ortigia Island to admire the significant traces of the Greek civilization in Sicily such as the Apollo Temple and the Fonte Aretusa. Lunch in a typical restaurant. In the afternoon, departure for Noto. Guided visit of the masterpiece of Sicilian Baroque. It’s dubbed “Stone Garden” for its architectural beauties. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
5° Day: Scicli –Ragusa Ibla – Modica
After the breakfast, we will reach Scicli. During the guided tour, we will walk along Via Mormino Perna, one of the most charming streets of Sicily. We will can admire a lot of churches and elegant palaces.Tthey are evidences of the late Baroque age.
Then, departure for Ragusa. Particularly,we will visit Ragusa Ibla, the older part of the city. Trip among dozens of splendid churches such as Duomo di San Giorgio ,Santa Maria dell’Itria and Chiesa Anime del Purgatorio. The most important baroque buildings are Palazzo della Cancelleria, Palazzo Cosentini and Palazzo Battaglia. Lunch at restaurant.
In the evening departure towards Modica, world heritage site and ancient Baroque town with more than one hundred churches. Visit of the cathedral of San Giorgio, the castle of the Counts and of the Carmine Church, example of late Gothic art. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

6°Day: Pantalica – Palazzolo Acreide
Breakfast at hotel. Walk along Pantalica, among mountains and archaeological remains. Visit to the Necropolis and its man-made caves. After the packed lunch provided by the hotel, we will move to Palazzolo Acreide, particularly famous thanks the nearby archaeological excavations which have brought to light the old Akrai site, the first colony of the ancient powerful Syracuse.
We will walk along the old town where we will meet the Mother Church, dedicated to St. Nicholas, the Church of San Paol, built in elegant Baroque style and the Church of San Sebastiano. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
7° Day: Nicolosi –Mount Etna -– Zafferana etnea
Breakfast at hotel and departure to Nicolosi. We will reach the “Rifugio Sapienza”, a guard house at the base of Mount Etna, the starting point for a guided trip to the “Crateri Silvestri”. We could take the cable car to reach the main craters. Lunch at the restaurant “Crateri Silvestri”.
Then we will reach a farm located in Zafferana Etnea to taste some locally-grown products such as honey, wine, oil and pistachio. .In the afternoon, the participants will reach Taormina. Visit of the main monuments: the Cathedral, the Greek – roman theatre. Walk along the main street of Taormina, “il Corso”, full of fashionable boutiques. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
8°Day: Milazzo – Island of Lipari – Island of Vulcano
Breakfast at hotel and departure to the Port of Milazzo for the operations of embarking.
After skirting the promontory of Capo Milazzo, we will sail to Lipari for the first stop, which is useful for exploring the old town, the archaeological park or relax during shopping in the town.
Departing from Lipari and route to the island of Vulcano.During this part of navigation will be made the tour of the mythological area and that part of the coast where you will visit the “Faraglioni”, “Lo scoglio di Papa Giovanni”, “La Grotta dei Angeli” and “Lo scoglio della Mummia”.Continuing the sailing we wil visit also the beautiful “Piscina di Venere”, “La Grotta del cavallo” and “Lo scoglio del Leone” until reach Vulcano for the second stop where it could be possible to take a bath in the hot springs in the area of sulphurous mud, or to go the beautiful black Sand Beach. After departure from Vulcano, before directing navigation to Milazzo, we will pass the beautiful “Scoglio della Sirenetta”.

9° Day: Palermo – Monreale.
After the breakfast, departure for Palermo. The guided visit of the city will start from, the Norman Cathedral and the fascinating Palatine Chapel. Then we will reach the historical centre to admire: i Quattro Canti, Piazza Pretoria and its fountain with decorative sculptures. Departure to Monreale where we will take the lunch at restaurant. In the afternoon, visit of the splendid Cloister and the impressive Cathedral, considered as one of the finest example of Norman architecture in Sicily. Accomodation in the reserved rooms of a hotel in Palemo area, dinner and overnight stay.
10° Day: Cefalù – Shriny of Gibilmanna.
After the breakfast at hotel, departure for Cefalù, a little town built on a promontory dominated by an imposing shaped head rock, that’s why the ancient Greeks named the city Kephaloidion (head)
Strolling trough its medieval alleys, we will meet the “ Osterio Magno”, probably a Norman fortified building where Re Ruggero lived. Then we will reach Piazza Duomo with its majestical Norman Cathedral decorated with wonderful mosaics: “Christ Pantocrator” is one of the most amazing examples of Byzantine mosaics in Sicily. Then, we wiil admire il “lavatoio medievale”, a “medieval wash-house” carved into a rock.
After a typical lunch in a typical restaurant, we will reach the Shriny of Gibilmanna, a place of worship and pilgrimage surrounded by green woods. It also houses an interesting museum managed by Capuchin Friars.

11° Day: The Valley of Temples
After the breakfast departure for Agrigento and visit of the " Museo Archeologico Nazionale " which offers an interesting variety of statues , vases, plates , etc . the Dorian civilization. Lunch.
In the afternoon visit of the legendary " Valley of the Temples” .Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
12° Day: Palermo
After the breakfast, moving to Airport of Palermo. End of our services
